  • What do I need to file my claim?

    In order to file a claim, you will need to take the following steps:

    • i. Activate your bolt insurance account by following the instructions in your welcome email.
    • ii. Log on to your bolt portal
    • iii. Locate the device you wish to file a claim on in your account
    • iv. Start claim
  • How long does it take to complete a claim?

    Filing a claim takes minutes, and you will know immediately after filing it if it is accepted.

  • What information is needed to file a claim?

    As long as you see your registered devices in your bolt portal you are set to file a claim. There may be an exception when we need additional information in order to complete your claim, but this will be communicated during the claims process.

  • Do I need to pay a deductible?

    Claims on phones will require you to pay a deductible. All other non-phone device claims will not be charged a deductible.

  • Can I get my phone repaired?

    After a claim is filed and approved, phones can be repaired at any repair vendor in the United States. You can make the experience super simple by using one of our preferred vendors where you will have no out-of-pocket costs.  Find a preferred location near you by using our vendor locator in our claims portal.

  • How long do I have to file?

    You have 30 days from the incident to file your claim.

  • Limits of liability

    Your policy has a limit of up to your original purchase price.

  • What happens if my phone cannot be repaired?

    If your phone is not repairable, simply obtain the non-repair receipt from the repair vendor and upload it to your bolt claims portal. We will review the receipt and either send you a replacement device or send you a reimbursement so you can purchase a replacement from Back Market.

Claims may be fulfilled with new or reconditioned equipment. Reconditioned equipment may have minor cosmetic flaws. If the exact model is not available, the replacement will be of like kind and quality. This coverage may provide a duplicate of other sources of coverage.
