Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I need to file a claim?

    If you haven’t activated your account, simply login with the email address used at the time of purchase and create a password. You will then need to register your device. Some devices may require an IMEI, and phones will require a wireless bill showing the claimed device active on the wireless network at time of the incident.

  • Where do I find my IMEI?

    Your devices IMEI can be found on the device under settings, or by logging into your wireless carrier account and viewing your devices.

  • How long do I have to file my claim?

    Your claim must be reported within 30 days from when the incident occurred.

  • How many claims can I make?

    The number of claims available to you depends on your specific plan. Please refer to the coverage details page for your plan in the Resources section of this page.

  • Where do I take my device to be repaired?

    Once your claim has been approved, you will be directed to one of bolt’s preferred repair vendors. You may also take the device to a repair provider of your choice. Be sure to save your receipt and upload it to the claims site to be reimbursed.

  • What happens if my device cannot be repaired?

    We will ship you a replacement device. If your device cannot be replaced, bolt may choose to issue a cash reimbursement for the value of your claimed device.

  • What is the limit of liability per claim?

    The limit of liability per claim depends on your specific plan. Please refer to the coverage details page for your plan in the Resources section of this page.
